There is something wonderfully calming yet uplifting when combining lush shades of green (a well earned nod to Pantone’s colour of the year) and blush pink.
And the great thing is, it can be any shade of green you like: from mint to moss, jade or forest, pea or arsenic...whatever your favourite shade might be, it will be a match made in heaven teamed with this pretty shade of pink.
I absolutely adore this colour combination for so many reasons, but the main draw for me is this colour palette appeals to both men and women.
Most men would quiver in their boots at the thought of sleeping under delicate pink sheets, claiming this colour to be too girly. But pair this pink with a textured throw or painted wall in a sophisticated shade of green and the pink magically becomes acceptable.
And I’m excited to say that blush pink is going nowhere come Autumn/Winter 2017. This time it’s paired with an even more masculine colour, which really packs a punch. I’ll be writing a post about this colour combo in the coming weeks. Just you wait!
I created this flat lay moodboard especially for this colour trend. I opted for more minty and jade hues of green - that was mostly because I have a lot of this colour in my own home! I love creating flat lays, I have a few on my Instagram feed, so head over there if you don't follow me already!
Anyway, back to lush and blush. I’ve rounded up a simply gorgeous selection of ways of introducing this colour scheme into your home; from wild and wacky wallpapers, paint colours, art prints and some gorgeous home accessories. It’s sure to get the creative juices flowing!
